MSc Vincenzo Ricciardi, Early Stage Researcher 9, GM4
Vincenzo Ricciardi was born in Salerno, Italy, on April 12, 1991. He received in 2014 the Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Salerno. His master thesis was carried out in collaboration with Magneti Marelli Powertrain (Bologna, Italy) and was focused on the evaluation of CO2 reduction in SI engines equipped with Electric Turbo-Compound. Thereafter he continued his research activity at the Eprolab (DIIN) of the University of Salerno by taking care of the following topics: evaluation of the benefits of waste heat recovery systems on light duty vehicles, dynamics modelling and actuators control of SI and CI engines, modelling of premixed (SI engine) combustion process. He is currently a Marie Curie Fellow at the Thüringer Innovationszentrum Mobilität and he is enrolled at the Technical University of Ilmenau, Germany, as a PhD student, through the iTEAM project. His current research activity focuses on dynamics control of low-emission MAGV for driving performance improvement and lowering the non-exhaust emissions.
