MSc Stefan Schumi, Early Stage Researcher 5, MI5
Stefan Schumi was born in Klagenfurt, Austria on January 17, 1988. He received in July 2016 his master certificate in electrical engineering from the Carinthia University of Applied Science. The master thesis was about a test bench for IGBT in resonant switching conditions in collaboration with Infineon Technologies Austria AG. The focus of the test bench has been the losses of the IGBT and the reverse conducting diode. From 2013-2015 he worked for the CUAS as undergraduate research assistant in the area of power electronics and battery diagnostics. Currently he is an industrial PhD Student at Infineon Technologies AG and Marie Curie Fellow with focus on the on-board electrical system for the MAGV, including fail-safe and fail-operational methods for the autonomous car.
